Hiiiiii there! Long time no see! Senior year has just been so much fun and so very busy! I've really been soaking up every last bit of high school and now that we're in the home stretch, I feel like it's fitting to get back to blogging! So many fun things planned, announcements and adventures to come! So happy to be back!
To ease back into blogging, I'm wearing one of my newest purchases with a just a solid staple. Super easy and cute outfit fitting for any occasion and very weather friendly!
This new button up denim skirt is so comfortable and versatile! Fun fact, I bought this on spring break in "flo-rida" and cut a solid two inches off of it to give it that tasseled feel on the edge! The buttons were the things that caught my eye when I copped this skirt and I love how they go all the way up! This sweater is such a staple of mine, especially because it's navy! The adjective 'staple' in this example does this sweater every sort of justice it deserves. Topped off with my favorite red converse I feel in love with the simplicity of this ensemble.
Such a versitile, fun and cute go to!
#Yay to being back! I'm so so so excited to get back to what I love doing! Thanks for reading friends!

Happy Sunday everyone! Oh, yes it's been a minute since a blog post has been uploaded on here...I think the last time there was snow on the ground! ;) Summer has passed, school has started and I think I saw a leaf fall yesterday. I did in fact buy a pumpkin scented candle today though, and posted it on my Snapchat story to make it official. Anywaysss I am so ready for this year, but not just any year...my senior year!
Todays post is going to be veering away from a fashion standpoint to more of a reflection point. I'm only 17 and know little to nothing about the real world, but what I do know or try to live by everyday will be listed below. Don't be afraid to live and laugh people!
#1: Be yourself. Woah. Haven't heard that one before. It's cheesy because it's said a lot. It wouldn't be said a lot if it wasn't true. Each year as I get older I notice that more often than not the things you're anxiously worried about are probably haunting tons of the people you're surrounded with. In that case you may as well just be you. And laugh at yourself too. We're all here for a reason, and the only way to know what your reason is, is to go out and just do YOU. Do not let those irrelevant things define you. When your put in a situation that makes you sad/confused/frustrated/etc. walk through the best you can. You'll get up from your falls, you'll overcome your bad days, but how you overcome them is what defines you. So just be you. Smile and live my friends.
#2: Live. Jeez that's a new one too. This one is really important to me because I think there's a lot of times when something happens and all you can think is, "why me?" or "of course that would happen." I can't tell you how many times my parents have told me to stop being so negative. I guess they're right. Just this once you win Mom & Dad. But really, we cannot spend our time wondering why some of these things don't go our way. What we can do is learn from them. The lessons pile up and the character builds. If you're just living your life to the best way you know possible, you'll grow to be content and enjoy life's #views from all over.
#3: There is literally not a single point to being mean. In school I just try to smile and wave ("Smile and wave boys." -The Penguins of Madagascar). In my 17 years of life there's always been the "mean girls" (lolz the jealous girls), the insecure girls, the girls that seem lost all the time and then the ones that are just there for the ride. We're all so different. We're all dreaming, we're all loving, we're all learning, heck until a couple years from now we're all lost. We're all in this together, you may as well smile and make someone else's day just a little bit better. We all know that person that's just always nice, it's a full breath of fresh air. They've got a great rep going for themselves, they're making you feel better and untimely they're making this world we live in a better place. Just be nice. You will truly start to feel better about yourself and the fun will pile.
#4: Look from the outside in. One of my very favorite things in this world is watching something amazing happen and being able to see the faces of the people it's impacting. I will never forget my freshman year, Homecoming proposals were new to us and I was standing at my locker unpacking. The hallway cleared to people on opposite sides and the girl that was getting asked walked into a row leading down to the boy that was asking her with flowers. Her face was so shocked and so real. Everyone in that hallway was in sync at that very moment. Just watching the girl's face, and the boy that was asking's face fill with excitement was incredible and made me smile. Friday night my school won our Varsity football game in the last few minutes. The energy was insane. When we won we all ran onto the field and beamed with pure joy. Everyone was so thrilled and just so proud. Looking around and taking it all in was something I'll never forget. When you step back and take it all in you can see the emotion in people and the thrills of this world. You also become more content as a person.
I encourage you guys to live, love and just have a ball. Laugh a lot. Believe in yourselves! It's what keeps me going everyday.
Have a great school year guys!
Hello readers! I am overjoyed to be back and happening here on Grace's & Fashions! Such a busy Winter it has been for me, but now I'm finally back! Over the break I jotted down some trends that I'm in love with that will be featured here, prepared some collabs that I'm thrilled about and reached the single digits on my countdown for the one and only...New York Fashion Week! Iconic. #NYFW16
I am so excited! The struggle of snowy Cincinnati wakeups is not stopping it-- not even the un-shoveled parking lot sidewalks...nope. Lifestreams, twitter & I have never been so close! Until then, check out the New York Fashion Week Master schedule at Fashion Week online, here! (Below)
Today I am wearing my infamous "wintery white" Polo with my go to pair of leggings in this cold "nasty nati" weather. On our way to dinner I slipped on my Hunters! My Hunters and I have been ever so close this winter and I highly suggest you put these on your wish list! Comfortable, trendy & durable! Score!
I hope the Winter season is going well for you and I love hearing from you guys so comment, email, tweet, insta, head over to the contact page - whatever! :)

Fashion Week Master Schedule:
Out with the old and in with the new...goodbye clouds of gr- whoops. High School Musical sorry, anyways! It's almost Christmas! So much fun to look forward to, Holiday wise and favorite looks! Just when I feel like I've found the perfect Summer to Fall outfit we're back, but this time with Fall to Winter!
For this look I opted for my favorite high wasted polka pants, along with my blue sweater. I'm giving my riding boots one last "hoorah" before I tuck them in for the Winter season. So far in that look I've crossed off a hint of Fall & Winter! All while adding in my newest love. Welcome to Grace's & Fashions, my new Cedar Street Harmony Cross-body Bag by Kate Spade!
It's always great for a transition outfit to have a base, which in this case would be my boots as we're using them to transition off of along with their simple color. I highly suggest popping some colors of the season you're heading into in your season transitional outfits. Use the bold colors like blue, gold, red & green to aim for that Winter look. Big solid colors pave the way into the new season.
I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful!

Who knew green would be such a great Fall color? Also, who knew I would ever jump into the high wasted pants band wagon..something I said I would never do, turned into something I love. I guess you really can't judge a book by its cover!
The high wasted jeans trend will definitely take some getting used to for me. Paired with my favorite fall booties and dark to light color combination, this look contrasted so well with the leaves around me which would look great with any green color! Luckily, that military green color still is on a lot of the racks at some of my favorite stores, like Gap, Old Navy & JCrew! Contrasting & combining...some of my favorite key fashion favs!
Hope your week is going well and please take some time to check out the new survey to the right! Tell me some things that you maybe would want to see + collabs with other people here at Grace's & Fashions!
It's truly amazing how much your mood has an impact on your outfit. We have a four day weekend heading our way so I woke up feeling happy & ready. The first thing I thought of this morning was not coming home and taking a nap! Progress.
Today was a mashup of Fall trends, preppy patterns & color blocks. I basically just took what I liked and put it together. So basically what I'm telling you to do is go home and just have a fashion show with you, your favorite clothes & your mirror. Combine & create!
I'm still not ready to let go of summer 100% so I put one of my favorite anchor shirts under my favorite navy fall vest. I officially bought this season's new fall booties which I'm loving but still breaking in, ouch. Lastly, my new obsession: patched jeans. So many people asked me today, "Did you patch those yourself?" The answer was no, but I'm loving how different and unique the reactions are! It's really fun just doing you...just simply do what makes you happy. That's what I'm slowly but surely learning.
Hope your weekend is great too! I'm off to Clevland for a wedding so we'll see what fashion happens there! Until next time..

As some of you know New York City is probably my favorite place I have every been! When I first went there it was my big birthday present and I will never forget it! We went straight from the airport, to the subway into Time Square. It was somewhat dark so as I got off the subway I saw the blinking lights wearing through the steps, leading to what I had literally only dreamed of.
I walked up the stairs and was basically in a dream...everything people say about New York is true + so much more. My mom dropped the suitcases (we hadn't even checked into out hotel yet!) to take a picture of my tears of joy!
For me, being a person who dreamed of living there without even being there, to then seeing it, it completely solidified what I want to do with my life. All things big city, fashion, writing & being involved! I truly love the fast paced lifestyle with such detail along the way. It's how I've always been and can only dream of continuing, but bigger and better! Of course, I probably won't be solidified for a while but an idea is a start!
Here's some picture of this trip and my favorite parts! Thank you all for reading this blog about my style, fashion, and thoughts! I truly enjoy doing this and hope that you all someday can find what you're passionate for and enjoy it.
Since this wasn't really a fashion post I'll see you all tomorrow, same time..same place, for all things Fall wear! :-)
(no specific order!)
Big & bold, here is the famous NYC M&M World! The title is 100% true.
...if you've ever wondered where my happy place is. (Notice the M&M's bag in hand.)
Loved the chaos after being let out of Mama Mia on Saturday night!
I could just sit here all day!
So many interesting things all in one picture!
Inside ground zero.
2 beams from the original tower and the new one in the background. All with a hint of sunshine!
On the way home from the tour I found Waverly Place...isn't this where the wizards lived? ;)
NYC from an apartments view...peeping through is the Empire State building!
We're one of those tourists!

I remember last night picking out an outfit that looked nice and it was my motivation to start this Monday morning...then I remember waking up and not having the motivation to dress up on this Monday morning. Well, I have found a happy medium and it kicks off the start to fall & breast cancer awareness month just right.
These are my favorite simple black leggings and my comfy spirt jersey. Paired with a simple pink bow it really defines a bright + cute tone for this look. To finish it off and add a dressier side to things I broke out my absolute favorite things in the entire fall season. My infamous Ann Taylor riding boots! No lie, I started wearing these on October 1st. So much talk and it's finally officially fall!
As Coco Chanel said best, "Simplicity is the key note of all true elegance." To keep up to those words I just grabbed my lovely pink Long champ held by my Muchi Muchi pink nails! Very minimal accessories.
Such an effortless outfit (comfortable too!) that sets a tone for a simple but elegant season! I encourage you all to try and start simple then accessorize how you would from there. It's all about being you!
Happy Monday everyone!

Just as I begin to get excited about Fall returning, New York Fashion Week wraps up their Spring/Summer 2016 shows. I can't help but take a look back at some of my favorite shows I watched...front row of course! (JUST KIDDING - live streamed them which I highly suggest for all of you in the future!) So here are some of my New York Fashion Week favorites!
I always have loved her designs because they always seem to be so timeless. It's also an added bonus considering that her point of view is amazing through American fashion. The whole time I watched this show I felt that Spring/Summer vibe through the structured details and flowing colors. Every look that entered onto the runway complimented the last one & I loved that. It seemed that everyone who went to this show that I'm friends with on snapchat had such lovely images really highlighting Lela's designs whilst simply featuring that elegant hanging floral piece above the runway.
LELA ROSE SS16:
Although I don't think I can see my self walking out of the house in these looks, this show was so fun & kept me on my toes the entire time! Where do ideas like that come from and how to you make them collaborate like they do? Amazing. If you have ever seen a picture of the designer, Betsey, her smile is so great and you can kind of relate those crazy designs with the look her glare gives you! Enjoy!
BETSEY JOHNSON SS16:
This show had a look for everyone and for each type of personality that these outfits fit into they each established Spring/Summer 2016 so well. I love the massive amounts of little details that make these designs what they are. Simple but so intricate at the same time props to Tory Burch & I can't wait to see the way these looks are made into their own in the near future.
TORY BURCH SS16:

Riccardo Tisci brought Givenchy's runway from Paris to New York on Friday and it didn't disappoint. This was the last show I watched on Friday and what a way to finish it. It was so elaborate but you could still interpret the over feel Givenchy had as a whole. Each look flowed so well to the next from silk with a tiny bit of lace, to a lace dress, to forming that lace into dark floral - I loooved it. I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot of these looks on red carpets to come.
A wonderful week it has been...I'm so happy I tried to become apart of it as much as I could. I hope you enjoyed this post and please tell me your favorite looks or comments on this post! NYFW isn't finished though; especially not when Calvin Klein is tomorrow! Have a great rest of your week!
(Just in case you wanted a picture of my reaction when my favorite designers debut their new collections!)
